I understand my clients' strategy and business needs, helping them translate complex topics into clear, engaging design.
The path of a creative is rarely a straight line. Mine went through media agencies as a project manager until my creative hunger grew too strong to ignore. I took a bold leap and pursued a BA in Visual Communication, self-funding my studies through relevant design jobs (and with the support of a very patient partner).
I don't regret a single second of my 10 years as a PM. That decade taught me about strategy, business logic, and the art of presenting ideas so clients feel secure and heard. Combined with my creative craft, you get a partner who delivers Motion Design, Graphic Design, and Illustration, but who also understands why we do what we do.
I specialise in visualising the complex. I’ve explained Power-to-X to engineers, nanoscopy to researchers, and helped the Julemærket Foundation fight bullying. I’ve even been lucky enough to be a small part of an award-winning film for the Financial Times, collaborating with the talented team at Benny Box.
What I’m looking for: I miss being part of a team. I thrive in environments where we can spar, challenge each other, and grow stronger together. I don’t need to run the show; I’d much rather dedicate my energy to high-end design and conceptual development alongside passionate colleagues.
A little extra:
- I wrote my BA on 'The Science of Play' – ask me why play is serious business for innovation.
- I’m grateful for the recognition of my ideation skills at the 'Kreativ Basis' concept school.
- I hold a BA in Media Production & Management and spent 10 years as a PM in agencies and in-house teams, where my team and I won several awards for strong conceptual work.
- I master AI as a tool, but my brain remains my most important instrument.
I am currently seeking my next permanent design role. See my work here: https://maikie.dk Feel free to contact me via In-Mail here on LinkedIn.

Worked together at Mindshare
"Jeg har arbejdet sammen med Maikie på Mindshare og det har været en fornøjelse. Hun er super dygtig til at holde alle boldene i luften, uden at tabe fokus fra det kreative output. Samtidig er hun en skøn person man gider at være sammen med, både på og uden for arbejdspladsen.
Jeg kan varmt anbefale hende til et bureau hvor kreativitet er i fokus".

"I worked with Maikie for a little over 1,5 years and it was an absolute pleasure. Maikie is a warm and open person and a joy to work with. Not only did she have comprehensive knowledge of Digital and Social marketing, but she understood the bigger picture and how these tied in and influenced other areas of markting. She was always willing to help and I would say that any future teams would be lucky to work with her".

Carina was a client of mine (from DSB) when we did work together
"I’ve had the pleasure of working with Maikie on DSB’s youth communication for the past 2 years, when she was with Very. She is excellent at client-contact and understanding DSB’s young audience. She’s been hands-on with our community management and has an extensive understanding for digital and social media and what works. Maikie has made a great deal of the creative work on the DSB Ung Facebook site and have participated in DSB’s Social Media Hub. In all Maikie is a happy, helpful and solution-oriented person that will always get things done".
