The Long Walk: Towards Gender Equality in Politics

A Financial Times x Benny Box production

For 2,500 years, women have fought for their place in our democracies. This two-minute animated film traces the slow path towards equality, with music by multi Grammy-winning musician Rhiannon Giddens.

As part of my BA in Visual Communication (Interactive Design) at The Danish Media & Journalism School, I interned for five months at the animation studio Benny Box, where I had the opportunity to contribute to this special project. I worked on various stages of the process, from inbetweening to animating comps, but my biggest contribution was illustrating six backgrounds, which Creative Director Esben then fine-tuned to ensure a cohesive visual style.
